Oddfellow's

Following on from my last post...

Over the past 5 years or so i've been following the blog of artist and author Emily Martin.
Her work is filled with charm and whimsical subject matter, and when I saw that there was only one copy of her signed children's book bundle left for sale, I knew what I had to do.
And here it is in all its beautiful glory, a sure new favourite for years to come i'd say.

Once Upon A Time...

I've always been a big kid at heart, and constantly living in my imagination i've always loved fairy tales and children's stories.
Recently I seem to be buying more and more 1940s-1960s children's story books. The illustrations are exquisite, and the smell of old paper sets my imagination wild with thoughts of whose bedtime rituals these pages once belonged.
With every page i live happily ever after.

Found

As i entered Little Ruby last weekend, i was greeted by this little babe in one of the typewriters. Thank you mystery note writer, your note has now been immortalised within my scrap book of found notes and photographs.
